Name suggestions and mini update

Check this out from babycenter.com describing what our child is like this far along (the language used to describe the baby's sex is presumptuous, but that's the way it is on the site):

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam.

Cool, eh?

Okay, so here's the other part...
Betty and I have some ideas about what baby names we like, but we are children of the Internet (just as you are) and are therefore curious about what baby names you like. So, if you'd like to participate, POST NAMES! We need both girl and boy suggestions, so please include at least one of each if you choose to participate. Should we choose your name and should our child actually end up with the name you suggested, you will receive two special prizes :
1) a special entry on our blog with your picture and a "thank you" post
2) bragging rights forever that you actually named a human via a post on a blog

Conversely, we will name our child pretty much any name you want for $3M. Yourcorporatenameherefor3mil Tovar. Frostedflakes Tovar...hmmm. I'm only sort of kidding.

Let the name suggestion (and/or bidding) begin!

-Alvaro

man, i had a hard enough time choosing one name for my own. i'm all out of ideas homie.

although i like beaner names because they match with our last name. you can't have a strange hybrid like lasomething tovar or chadwick tovar. it doesn't sound right.

always loved the name "isabella", "bella" for short and if you combine the first 2 letters of Alvaro and Betty and add "rto" you get....Alberto!
(ok, we'ss have to get back to you on a boy's name!)
Love you guys!

Just some ideas. I tend to go for names that are not too common, but hopefully not too weird either! And, as a warning, the kids also helped. :O)

boys: Toben, Greyson, Landon, Luke, Blake, Camden, Parker, Nolen, Stellan

girls: Ashlynn, Camryn, Alise, Brooke, Claire, Lily, McKenna, Malia, Sofia

Thanks for all of the excellent suggestions so far! Thanks for getting the kids involved, Terra!
Any body else have any more? We're listening...

Me again - but here's some new ones I've heard recently (if you think they're weird, that's OK... I thought some were weird too!):

boy or girl: Addison, Tanner, Avery, Brennen (or Brennyn)

girl: Morgan, Adalie, Amaray, Savannah, Carina, Eden, Ebony, Candice, Bria, Karis, Tiana, Brynn

boy: Finley (or Fin), Cohen, Ronan, Perrin, Pierce, Weston, Marlin, Mason, Dalton, Dayne, Silas

Alright, I'll give you a break from me, but this is too much fun! :O)

I think we need some ethnic diversity here, considering that the baby's last name will be Tovar.

Soooo...how about:

Esperanza, Dolores, Marisol, Alejandra, or Ariel for a girl.

Octavio, Emiliano, or Ernesto for a boy.

Ohh how fun a Girl YAY.

Ok my girls names are Nicole and Natalie so those I love for sure.

I love my name Andrea and it’s pronounced with an accent over the e.
Also Victoria, Samantha, Lilly, Susan (I don’t hear many Susan’s) Rebekah, Alicia, I just heard Milly this morning and thought it was kind of cute, Natasha.

Gosh I can’t think of any others that I like or sounds right but I’ll keep thinking.

Terra you are so cute! Thanks for all your participation. Now that you know it is a girl you can narrow it down. I like your suggestion Adalie-that is VERY CUTE

I suggest the name Anastasia; it shows softness, gentleness as well as strength and evokes history. And, the nickname Anna could be used, and that name is beautiful! Susan
